Finnegan is a very special kitten with a heart as sweet as can be! He has a wonderful personality and so much love to give. Like any kitten, he deserves the chance to grow up feeling safe, loved, and cherished by his very own family.

Finnegan has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV+), which means he may need a little extra understanding and care. FeLV can weaken a cat’s immune system and may shorten their lifespan, although every cat is different. Some FeLV-positive cats enjoy a good quality of life for years with proper care and regular veterinary monitoring.

Finnegan will need an informed adopter who understands his diagnosis and can provide a safe, indoor-only home. He should be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV-positive cats, as the virus can spread to other cats through close, prolonged contact. A veterinarian can help guide his care and discuss whether confirmatory testing is appropriate.

A positive test result doesn’t define this sweet boy. Finnegan is still the same loving, wonderful kitten who deserves a chance at happiness. We know his diagnosis may make finding a home more challenging, but we hope someone will look beyond the test result and see the beautiful little soul waiting to be loved.
