Meet Kobe, a lovable, friendly three-year-old Mastiff/Shar Pei mix looking for a family to call his own! Weighing approximately 36 kg, Kobe is a big boy with plenty of love to give. He enjoys the company of people and gets along well with other dogs, making him a wonderful candidate for a home ready to welcome a large-breed companion.Kobe is looking for a committed adopter who will give him the time, patience, and consistency he needs to thrive. He would benefit from ongoing obedience training to help him develop good manners and become the best companion he can be. Heâs one of the biggest âlap dogsâ youâll ever meet. Kobe will require continued care and support for his skin. He was very itchy, with infected skin and ears when he first arrived. His skin has shown significant improvement, but he will require life-long management. His future family should be prepared to work with their veterinarian to provide any recommended treatments and follow-up care. We would be happy to provide a copy of his medical records for their review. Kobe was already missing his left eye when he arrived at TAS West which does not require additional attention. Kobe has some hip laxity that may need to be addressed in the future. Again, a discussion with your own veterinarian is recommended prior to adoption. Please contact Toronto Animal Services West shelter at416-338-6271 to start to discuss the adoption process. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment.
