Meet Bernie…he is an affectionate, smart 1.5 yr old Berna-doodle seeking a patient, child-free home with someone committed to companionship, consistency, and continued training. He loves his person, car rides, doggy daycare, and chew toys!
Bernie has calm moments but can struggle to settle. Despite working with a trainer, he still counter-surfs, takes food, steals soft paper items, and jumps on visitors. His ideal adopter will support these ongoing needs and be open to veterinary guidance. An older, confident dog might be a good match, pending introductions.
Bernie has plenty of love and potential—he needs someone ready to appreciate his strengths and work through his challenges. He is here in NJ ready to meet you.
Note: Bernie is coming to us through our owner surrender program. They will remain under the care of their owner until they are officially transferred to Wag On Inn to an approved foster or adopter. Bernie is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all vaccines.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
