NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
NEW INTAKE 10/24/2026: Queso - female - 6 years old - 4.4 pounds - Yorkie/ Chihuahua mix
Reason for intake: Queso came in with Brulee. We were contacted by the out-of-state sister of a woman and her husband who were arrested (details will be given to an approved adopter once they are placed for adoption). It's kind of a long story how she ended up contacting us, but she thought one of the six dogs was adopted from us. Come to find out, that wasn't the case. We took in a stray in January, posted the dog on social media and the dog was reclaimed by the couple. So, the dog wasn't adopted from us, but reclaimed from us. When dogs are reclaimed, we have them sign a reclamation form and in that form it states that if they ever want to rehome the dog, to please contact us first. So, this is how we ended up involved.
Nevertheless, the couple gave the sister permission to find places for all the dogs. We took in two, two went to a family friend and the other two went to another rescue. Queso and Brulee will be heading to our vet the week of 10/26/2026, for everything they need. We were told they were spayed and we will verify that with the former vet. Stay tuned.
NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
