Our mission at Save A Friend P.R. (SAFPR) is to end the needless suffering of animals in Puerto Rico through education, spay/neuter programs, and adoptions. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization registered in Washington State, USA. We are volunteer based and receive all our funding and supplies through donations.

We rescue stray dogs, give medical treatments and make sure they are healthy and socialized before arranging their adoption in a new home.

Most of our dogs are flown to the States. We believe in teamwork and volunteer with other rescue groups and the Spay-a-thon. Marla Farren is our founder and has been involved in rescuing animals most of her life.
