Eeeeek, it's Fiddlesticks!! This bundle of joy is finally ready to find his forever home. Don't get him wrong, he's made some great friends with the staff here at FWACC but he's ready to bust out of this place and into a cozy and comfortable home. Note for adopters: This kitten was found to have an abscess and bony abnormalities on the right aspect of the top of his head. Antibiotics, pain medication, sedated wound cleaning, skull radiographs, and monitoring were provided by the shelter. Infection is no longer present, but there are findings on exam consistent with bony changes that suggest a previous skull fracture. He is overall healthy but remains very sensitive when his head is touched. It is important to respect his comfort needs when you pet his head. You may feed Churu-type treats while gently petting his head to help him learn that being pet on his head is a good experience. It is possible that he may always be sensitive in this region, but you can still interact with him in pleasant ways that both of you enjoy. Your full-service vet is best equipped to manage any behavior or medical needs related to his previous injury.
