Luke is a sweet boy who is looking for a fresh start. He is now in a NJ foster home!
Meet Luke — our best guess is a Jack Russell Terrier/Mini Schnauzer mix, possibly with a little wire-haired terrier flair thrown in for good measure. We even see some Spitz in him! Whatever his DNA says, one thing is certain: this boy is packed with personality.
Luke is smart, loyal, and very devoted to his people. He loves having a person to call his own and is eager to please once he knows you’re on his team. He can be a little hesitant at first when meeting new people, but he warms up very quickly.
We're not completely certain of Luke's age - may be older than we think but also could be younger. He gets the zoomies, loves to play, and keeps us laughing with his entertaining little character. He has met roughly two dozen dogs and has done wonderfully with nearly all of them, so he may enjoy having a well-matched canine friend—or being the star of the show himself. He is LOVING playing chase with the other dogs in his foster home.
Luke would thrive with someone who understands and appreciates terriers: someone who enjoys a clever, spirited companion and can give him structure, consistency, and plenty of love. In return, you’ll get a loyal little sidekick who will happily keep life interesting.
Smart. Spunky. So loyal.
Luke is ready to find his person—could it be you?
Luke is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccines. His
adoption donation is $500.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
