Trixie – Three Legs, One Big Heart, and a Little Tortie Sass! Hi, I'm Trixie! I've been through more than any kitty should, but these days I'm a happy, affectionate girl who's loving life and looking for someone special to share it with! My story began in Stockton, where I lived as an outdoor kitty. When one of my front legs became severely infected, my owners brought me to a veterinary clinic to be euthanized. Thankfully, a compassionate staff member saw a kitty worth saving and convinced my owners to surrender me instead. That wonderful person gave me a second chance at life, and the veterinarian performed the amputation I needed. My recovery wasn't without a few bumps along the way. I also struggled with an uncomfortable skin condition that left me itchy and wearing one of those dreaded cones! Eventually, my rescuers discovered I had food allergies and switched me to prescription Hill's z/d food. What a difference! My skin healed, my beautiful tortie coat grew back, and today I'm healthy, happy, and thriving! Now, let me tell you a little about the real me! I'm an absolute sweetheart who loves attention, cuddles, and spending time with my favorite person. I'm happiest lounging nearby, keeping you company, or curling up beside you for some quality snuggle time. I'm affectionate, loyal, and have just a teeny bit of that classic tortie sass to keep things interesting! And don't let my three legs fool you. I can MOVE! I get the zoomies, sprint around the house, and jump surprisingly high. I especially love batting at strings hanging from furniture and showing off my playful side. Sure, I might occasionally lose my balance when hopping down from somewhere, but I don't let that slow me down! After a good play session, I'm more than happy to settle in for some cuddles. As for my perfect home, I'd love to be the queen of my castle! I'm not particularly fond of sharing my space with other animals, so I'd be happiest as your one and only. I'm looking for a safe, indoor-only home where I can soak up all the love and attention I deserve. I'll also need to stay on my prescription z/d diet to keep my food allergies under control. I've come such a long way from the frightened, injured kitty who nearly lost her life. Thanks to someone who believed I deserved a chance, I'm now living my best three-legged life! All that's missing is a forever family to call my own. I've got three legs, one big heart, and so much love to give. Could you be my happily ever after? Please note:Trixie is a Special Needs cat.
