At 1 year old and approximately 55 pounds, Gus is in that wonderful stage where he's out of the puppy phase but still at the perfect age to learn, grow, and bond with his forever family.
This handsome boy is thriving in foster care and showing everyone what an amazing companion he is becoming. He loves doggy daycare, enjoys playing with kids and other dogs, and is always ready for fun and adventure.
Gus is smart, eager to learn, and highly food motivated, which makes training both easy and rewarding. He already knows sit and is working on stay, down, and shake. He enjoys having a job to do and loves making his people proud.
When it's time to burn off energy, Gus is ready for walks, games of fetch, and tug-of-war. He walks well on leash and has become quite the tennis ball enthusiast, happily chasing after it and bringing it back for another round.
At home, Gus is house trained, sleeps nicely in his kennel at night, and continues to gain confidence as he learns more about the world around him.
Like any young dog, Gus is still a puppy and occasionally does puppy things. He will need a family committed to continuing his training, providing structure, exercise, and guidance as he matures into adulthood.
