TWO LITTLE SURVIVORS LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES! ❤️From being found abandoned in a garbage bin at just a few weeks old to being treated like guard dogs—chained outside with absolutely no shelter from the sun or rain—Coco and Kiki have already survived a lifetime of hardship in Albania. But their nightmare is finally over, and their real life is about to begin! ✈️These sweet, resilient 7-month-old siblings are officially arriving at Zani's River Sanctuary on November 13th, and we are looking for the perfect forever families to show them what being a cherished family pet truly means. Kiki: Female, beautiful white coat with unique patches around her eyes. She is sweet, social, and full of life. Coco: Male, handsome red and white coat. He is incredibly affectionate and loves attention.Important Details: Age/Weight: 7 months old, approximately 15 lbs each. Health: Fully vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and neutered. Skills: They both walk beautifully on a leash, get along wonderfully with other dogs, and are fantastic with both children and adults. Indoor Living: While they are incredibly friendly, playful, and social, they have never lived inside a home before. Their future families will just need to offer a little extra patience, love, and guidance as they adjust to house training and indoor life.Please note: While they are brother and sister, they are not bonded and can absolutely be adopted into separate homes!Let's give these two beautiful survivors the ultimate happy ending they deserve. All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.

Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!) All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport. Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.
Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!
