Foster Home Needed
Poor Wren has gone through some big challenges in life. She was adopted as a puppy and has lived with another dog. Earlier in life she needed 2 acl surgeries (right and left leg), then more recently developed optic neuritis, which has caused her about 80% blindness (estimate).
Wren had been living in a home that had a baby in the last year or so and is now moving about and with Wren's blindness vulnerability (she gets spooked easier) her owners decided it would be best to rehome her.
Wren is precious, gracious and meek and comical at times. She also has a rugged quality about her, has a true Hound-y bark (at times) and LOVES to go to the dog park! Wren has proven to be very adaptive and really makes her way around the house and in and out just fine. Sometimes she'll stand in your way but will listen to commands and cues.
Wren does seek a bit of reassurance from you, but will also go plop herself on a dog bed in the other room.
Wren will touch your hear guaranteed. There is something so graceful in the way she handles her vision loss. She also looks at you with those big eyes and you can't help but melt.
Wren is currently living with another dog and a cat and does fine.
A dog that respects her boundaries would be the best, but she likes to follow the lead of the other dog in the home, and she handles new dogs at the dog park just fine.
We are looking for a foster home or adoptive home for Wren. Wren is 9 years old and about 45 lbs.

All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.
Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.
