Styx is a delightful bundle of silliness who's ready to find his furever home! He is a Pyr mix who rocks a long, soft tan coat that gives him serious Golden Retriever vibes. He'll top out at around 65 pounds of handsome, eccentric energy. Found as a stray in Tennessee, Styx has left his roaming days behind him and shows zero interest in escape artistry. Styx comes with a great foundation: he's housebroken, leash trained, and crate trained. He’s easily excitable, and a high energy pup who loves treats, car rides, and splashing around in the kiddie pool. He enjoys being outside with his favorite human, or otherwise preferring to be indoors. Styx is friendly through and through - he loves meeting new people, gets along great with other dogs in the yard and out in public, and even lives happily with indoor cats. He tends to get a little too excited around other dogs when he's crated. He'd do just fine as an only dog or with some furry housemates. Given his hyper enthusiasm, Styx would be an amazing match for a family with kids who are 12 or older who can keep up with him, and a 5-foot fenced in yard would be perfect. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Fees for senior dogs (7 or older) and foster dogs will be adjusted accordingly.
