Meet Mama Maize!
Less than a year old, Mama Maize has already done an incredible job raising two beautiful kittens after coming into rescue from a hoarding situation while pregnant. Now it’s finally her turn to be the one who’s loved and cared for.
This sweet, petite tuxedo girl adores being petted and happily soaks up attention from her people. She’s playful too—bring out a wand toy and you’ll see her inner acrobat come to life! While she gets a little squirmy when picked up, she’s happiest when she’s receiving affection on her own terms.
Maize would love a quiet home where she can relax and enjoy the life she deserves. She does well with other cats, having lived with 16 felines before coming into rescue, but she’s not a fan of dogs.
Fully vetted, well-mannered, and wonderfully quiet when she’s not playing or spending time with her humans, Mama Maize is ready to leave her past behind and start her happily-ever-after with a family of her own. Could that be you?
Maize was born around December 1, 2025, and is currently being fostered in Waterbury. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.
