Matilda is a resilient puppy mill survivor who is discovering just how wonderful life can be. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, once she feels safe and comfortable, her fun-loving personality shines brightly. She has a goofy side that will keep you smiling and a playful spirit that makes every day more entertaining.
This adorable girl is absolutely obsessed with toys and can often be found carrying them around, tossing them in the air, or entertaining herself during a zoomie session around the house or yard. She also enjoys stroller rides and, when she's ready, cozy cuddle sessions with her favorite people.
Matilda has a youthful energy and enthusiasm for life. She loves to play, explore, and enjoy the simple pleasures of being a dog. She gets along well with other dogs, although a companion dog is optional. She would thrive in a patient home where her family understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her move at her own pace.
She is currently making progress with her house training and is becoming more reliable with pee pad use. As with many puppy mill survivors, continued patience and consistency will help her continue to succeed.
Matilda's ideal home would be a calmer environment without a lot of unfamiliar visitors coming and going. She would do best with older, respectful children or an adult-only household where she can feel secure and build confidence.

Matilda's adoption donation is $550, and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She is fully vetted and ready for her forever home — she has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccines, including rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella. She has tested negative for heartworm and has been started on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning. Matilda is ready to find a patient, loving family that will help her continue building confidence while enjoying her playful personality, toy collection, and endless zoomies.
