Dezzy – Playful, Sweet & Ready to Blossom
Dezzy is a handsome young boy with a loving heart, a playful personality, and so much potential just waiting to shine. Dezzy may take a moment to settle into new environments, but once he does, his loving, playful personality shines through beautifully. He has already made wonderful progress in rescue and continues to gain confidence every day.
This sweet boy loves toys, belly rubs, snuggle time, and a good game of fetch. He enjoys being part of the family and thrives with encouragement, patience, and routine. Dezzy is fairly moderate in energy level, making him a wonderful mix of playful companion and cuddle buddy.
Dezzy would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore, play, and continue building confidence. He also benefits greatly from having another friendly, confident dog of similar size and energy level in the home to help show him the ropes and provide companionship. He is currently playing well with the other dogs in his foster home and has settled in beautifully.
He does well with children over the age of 8 and enjoys being around people once he feels secure. Dezzy is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home will be important for him.
Dezzy does well when kept on a schedule and will sometimes signal when he needs to go outside. As with any rescue dog transitioning into a new home, consistency and patience will help him continue to succeed. His ideal home will be loving, moderately active, and committed to continuing to help him build confidence and feel safe. In return, Dezzy will reward his family with loyalty, affection, playful antics, and plenty of snuggles.
Dezzy’s adoption donation is $575. He is neutered, microchipped, current on rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella, and bivalent canine influenza vaccines, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Dezzy is being fostered in Central Ohio.
