Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Midnight Oreo is still a young puppy and is learning about the world every day. His new family should expect normal puppy behaviors, including chewing, teething, house-training, and lots of curiosity.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to learn your household routine
3 Months to fully settle into family life
Midnight Oreo is eager to learn and will thrive with patient, positive reinforcement training.
His new family should continue providing:
Positive reinforcement training
House-training and consistent routines
Daily exercise appropriate for his age
Continued socialization
Mental enrichment through toys and games
Plenty of love, patience, and encouragement
With guidance and consistency, Midnight Oreo will grow into a confident, well-mannered companion who will reward his family with endless loyalty and affection.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes proper veterinary care, training, exercise, and companionship.
As part of responsible pet ownership, Midnight Oreo will need:
Routine veterinary wellness examinations
Completion of any remaining vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian
Neutering when age-appropriate
Monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention
A balanced, high-quality diet to support healthy growth
Daily exercise and mental enrichment
Continued obedience training and socialization
A safe, loving indoor home where he is treated as a cherished member of the family
As a distemper survivor, we recommend discussing his medical history with your veterinarian during his first wellness visit. Most survivors go on to live happy, fulfilling lives, and routine veterinary care will help ensure Midnight Oreo continues to thrive.
