Xerxes' care needs are:
[YELLOW]Puppy found on freeway ramp, green dot on intake; sent to foster. Foster reports puppy is highly active; not housetrained; shows no interest in their cat; appears to be afraid when he hears neighbor's dog; is friendly to people, jumps on them and is mouthy/nippy until provided with a toy; barks for 2-5 minutes in crate initially before going to sleep.Friendly, playful, energetic puppy, will need continued appropriate socialization with new people, places and other animals, and positive reinforcement/rewards based training. Training should begin immediately before this puppy learns unwanted behaviors and becomes difficult to control. Dog savvy, respectful children 10+ may be okay; younger kids not recommended due to typical puppy mouthiness and sharp teeth. Adopter must be prepared for the time, energy, patience and commitment needed to raise and train a puppy, and be prepared for the exercise and mental enrichment needed by this breed.
