Meet Eggnog, AKA Koa, your next best friend! At just 1 year old and 67 pounds, this handsome Terrier/Pit Bull mix is the complete package. He is smart, affectionate, playful, eager to please, and has a wonderful medium energy level that makes him the perfect balance of adventure buddy and professional cuddle bug. Koa is house-trained, crate-trained, and nondestructive. He loves his crate so much that he chooses to sleep there every night, even when the door is left open. He is also incredibly quiet, and his foster family has never heard him bark. When he needs to go outside, he simply gives a quiet little whine to let you know. Koa is wonderful when left alone in the house and can be trusted to relax without chewing or destroying things. He is a total lovebug who adores his people, thrives on human connection, and loves nothing more than being close to his humans for cuddles and affection. He greets people warmly and appears to adore children, with his tail wagging like crazy whenever he spots them. Koa is also one smart boy who learns quickly and is eager to please, making training a lot of fun. He knows basic commands including sit and is continuing to work on stay, polite greetings, and perfecting his fetch skills. He happily brings the ball back but is still learning that the game requires giving it back too. Koa is very nose-driven and would love puzzle toys, scent games, or other activities that allow him to put his amazing nose to work. He enjoys walks and hikes and does beautifully on leash without pulling. He needs about two walks a day to keep his body and brain happy. He is also a calm car rider. He may hesitate briefly when getting into the vehicle, but once inside, he settles right in and travels like a pro. Koa loves outdoor adventures and especially enjoys visiting the river, where he happily dips his toes in the water while taking in the sights. Koa is very interested in other dogs and enjoys canine friends, although his play style can be rough, rowdy, and a little mouthy, so structured introductions and appropriate supervised play are important. He has also shown a low prey drive and will calmly watch squirrels and rabbits without immediately chasing them. His compatibility with cats has not been tested. And if you are looking for a dog who loves toys, Koa is your guy. He especially enjoys fetch and would love a family who will keep him happy with playtime, walks, training, adventures, and plenty of affection. Koa is the kind of dog who can go for a walk, sniff out the neighborhood, play with his favorite toy, and then curl up beside you for some serious cuddle time. He is smart, sweet, silly, affectionate, and ready to be someone's very best friend. Eggnog AKA Koa is neutered, vaccinated, house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to find his forever home. Could Koa be the missing piece to your family?
