Meet Artemis & Athena. These two kittens just came back from a foster home and are ready to find an adopter. Their foster reports that they have come out of their shells in a home environment and enjoy playing with each other, as well as the resident cat in the home. They can be a little nervous with humans initially but after a brief acclimation period, they will sit next to people and enjoy interaction. Both kitties are food motivated and love to play so a home that will prioritize decompression and be patient as the kittens transition to the home will be the best fit. When Artemis and Athena are able to acclimate at their own pace, they start to show off their purr-fect personalities. Artemis and Athena may enjoy a home together but are not required to be adopted together. They would be great kittens for a resident feline who is looking for a friend. To keep them safe (as well as our local wildlife), Artemis and Athena are required to be indoors only moving forward. Artemis & Athena are available for pre-adoption. Come meet them, fall love and take them home after their spay surgeries. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
