Meet Alpine, an awesome 5 year old yellow Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as his 58-pound frame. Having recently made the leap from a rural shelter into foster care, this sweet boy is officially getting used to the good life of being a cherished family pet. Since indoor living is likely brand-new to him, Alpine is still putting the finishing touches on his housetraining, but he is adjusting wonderfully. He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate and now goes to his crate willingly during the day for naps.
Alpine is a social, adaptable guy who currently shares his foster home with other dogs, he is getting along splendidly with everyone. While he does not currently live with children, he has been friendly, polite, and well-behaved around kids during outings in public. When he isn't busy exploring every nook and cranny of the backyard, his absolute favorite place to be is curled up on the couch for some serious cuddle time. Alpine is ready for his forever home and is guaranteed to make a devoted, loyal, and loving companion.
The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
