Get ready for some extra-lively kitten company with this one! Elsa is quite a spirited, vocal, energetic, and outgoing girl. She wants to be involved in everything, and she talks a lot in her hilarious loud rusty-gate voice, so you will be having a lot of conversations. Like most single kittens, she does tend to use her teeth in play, so have a stuffed toy handy to substitute. Sheâs super social and craves company, so a household where someone is home a lot would suit her best. Any resident animals should be introduced in a slow, thoughtful manner. Elsa would thrive in a cat-savvy home that will help her work through some of her side-effects of singleton syndrome (aka growing up as the only kitten). Having a playful feline friend in the home may be helpful to provide Elsa some companionship and feedback on appropriate play. A home with young children is not recommended as her behavior may be overwhelming to them. To keep Elsa safe (as well as our local wildlife), an indoor only home will be required for Elsa moving forward. Elsa is available for pre-adoption. Come meet her, fall in love and take her home after her spay surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
