Meet Maui!
Maui is a fun, goofy, high energy guy who is looking for a home that can keep up with him! He absolutely LOVES getting out and doing things. Walks are one of his favorites, and he’s even happy running alongside a bike. If you’re looking for a dog to join you on adventures, Maui is ready to go!
Maui loves toys, but fair warning this boy needs the BIG, durable ones. He plays hard and has a blast doing it but he will swallow small toys / things he gets into his mouth.
He’s also a total love bug. Maui loves attention, affection, and being close to his people. One of his favorite ways to show his excitement is by jumping up to give “hugs.” We’ve been working with him on waiting until he’s invited, and he’ll need someone willing to keep reinforcing those manners.
When Maui gets excited or overstimulated, he can also get mouthy/nippy. It’s more than the gentle puppy mouthing you might expect, but it isn’t aggressive biting. He’ll do best with someone who understands energetic dogs and can continue working with him on appropriate play and boundaries. Also would consider not having small children handle him until that is more under control.
And somehow, underneath ALL that energy, Maui has a couch potato setting. Once he’s gotten his energy out, he’s perfectly happy curling up next to you for some serious cuddle time.
Maui would be a great match for an active person or family who wants a goofy, affectionate adventure buddy and is willing to give him the exercise, structure, and continued training he needs. He has a whole lot of personality and an even bigger desire to be loved.
Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:
