Oliver (A141263) is a 3-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever who weighed 73.5 pounds on intake. 09/17/26 Oliver is back at the shelter looking for his new home! He had quite the personality in his last home and like to push the buttons of his female owner. He was said to love his dad and would test boundaries with his mom. Oliver was described as friendly towards babies, children, and strangers. He was also described as friendly with dogs, but also mostly aloof and would do his own thing. As previously noted, he was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and to know his basic commands. He was said to like his kennel and would go in willingly. Oliver is a bit chunky and would benefit from losing a few pounds. He was also said to get into the trash and it has to be put away or he will help himself to a snack. If you are interested in meeting Oliver, please let us know! 07/15/26 This handsomely curly boy is Oliver! Oliver was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own, because his owner was PCSing to Hawaii and was having difficulty moving with him. He was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate pup! Oliver has historically done well with people of all ages, including babies and children, but when excited he does like to jump up. He was also stated to do well with other dogs, but has no experience with cats. While at the shelter, we have found him to be overly curious about smaller critters, so he may do best in a home without cats to help him succeed. As always, it is important to make appropriate introductions. Oliver was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, rides well in a car, and generally minds well. He is a sweet boy, looking to find his right fit! If you are interested in meeting Oliver, please let us know!
