Rocky is a beautiful 4-year-old Sheepdog mix weighing approximately 37 pounds. She is a young adult who lives well with other dogs and is ready for the stability, companionship, and love of a forever family.
At four years old, Rocky is at a wonderful stage of life. She's past the puppy years but still young enough to enjoy plenty of walks, playtime, outings, and adventures with her new family.
Rocky does well with other dogs and children, while her compatibility with cats is currently unknown.
As a Sheepdog mix, Rocky may share some of the characteristics commonly seen in herding breeds. These dogs are often intelligent, loyal, attentive, active, and closely connected to their people. They can enjoy having both physical activity and opportunities to use their minds.

Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so her adopter should be prepared to continue working on leash manners, basic commands, recall, household boundaries, calm greetings, and house training as needed.
Because Sheepdog-type dogs can be intelligent and attentive, positive-reinforcement training can provide valuable mental stimulation while helping Rocky build a strong relationship with her new family.
