Cheddar is a handsome, quiet, and regal boy with a very sweet soul. He came into foster care as one of four cats after their beloved mom passed away. He was the last of the four to find a home, and it’s easy to understand why—when Cheddar first arrived, he was extremely shut down. I truly believe he was grieving and depressed after losing his mom and everything familiar to him.
But with time, patience, and love, Cheddar has blossomed!
Now, whenever I enter the catio, Cheddar comes right over to greet me. He wants pets, attention, and affection, and he has discovered that people can be a wonderful source of love and comfort. Watching him come out of his shell has been incredibly rewarding.
Cheddar is a gentle, quiet, and beautiful boy who deserves a home where he will be cherished and showered with love and attention. I would love to see him find an indoor-only home with someone who will give him the time and affection he deserves.
Cheddar was always meant to be a foster, but I’ll admit something: if I didn’t already have three cats—and if I could convince my husband—I would probably keep him myself. ❤️ That’s how special this boy has become to me. Cheddar lives with his rescuer in Salem and his rehoming fee is $100
