August's care needs are:
[YELLOW]Background: Brought in stray by finder with a female shepsky. Yellow dot on intake. No notes given. Second time meeting both handlers for handling evaluation on 6/23/26.O: Dog is emaciated and with poor skin condition. Dog was at the front of the kennel as handler approached. Easy to leash. Can pull heavily d/t size, but did not put full weight into pulling while walking through the hallway. Went to intake room for weight and to vet room for exam. In vet room tolerated all handling for exam with stethoscope by two different vet staff. Once outside, moderate to hard pulling on leash. In yard dog approached both handlers for treats. Sat for treat held over head. Took treats quickly with full mouth over hand with moderate bite inhibition. Took lower value treats with softer mouth. Missing front teeth. Pricked ears for squeaker but did not pick up tosses toys. Relaxed for all over handling, leaning into pets around the head and neck. Hard pulling back to kennel. Walked into kennel ahead of handler. No issues unleashing by hand.B A: Affiliative senior. Treat motivated. Knows sit. Shows enjoyment with pets. Yellow for in-shelter handling d/t hard pulling.
