sammy

Meet Sammy, the 1 year old black cat! Sammy came to the shelter with another cat, Maximo, after their owner moved to a place that did not allow pets. They both lived with another cat in the home and did well with that cat too. Sammy is a little more timid than his companion, but he is a sweet boy, nonetheless. His previous owner said that Sammy loved to play with feather toys, and was good with children 3 and up. Sammy will do well in a home that allows him time to warm up so that his true purr-sonality can shine brightly. Sammy is available for preadoption - come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery! On Saturday, October 31st, the Shelter is celebrating Halloween through an “Adopt Your Boo” special. This cat’s adoption fee will be waived! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
