Meet Gomez, a little gray tabby kitten. Gomez grew up in a foster home and is now back at the Shelter and ready for adoption. His foster reports: These are the sweetest little babies! Theyâre still learning about the big, exciting world around them, including all the new sights and sounds that come with it. They can be a little shy when meeting new people, but they warm up relatively quickly once they realize theyâre safe. Before long, their sweet little personalities start to shine, and you get to see just how precious they are. These little ones are complete purr machines, and once they start feeling comfortable, their sweet, loving sides really begin to shine. Theyâre still growing in confidence, and with a little patience, gentle love, and reassurance, theyâre sure to blossom into wonderful companions. They just need someone willing to give them the time and kindness to feel safe and at home. With a little love, youâll be rewarded with lots of sweet purrs and all the affection these precious babies have to offer.Gomez is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery. On Saturday, October 31st, the Shelter is celebrating Halloween through an âAdopt Your Booâ special. This catâs adoption fee is reduced to $31.Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
