Meet Missy!Missy is an approximately 9-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Great Pyrenees mix weighing about 45–50 pounds. She's an active, adventurous girl who loves walks, hikes, playing with other dogs, and exploring the world. She even likes to bring her favorite stuffed animal along on walks!Missy can be shy around new people and may bark when she's nervous, but once she feels comfortable, she's an affectionate sweetheart who loves cuddling and being near her people. She's treat-motivated and already knows sit, down, and paw. She's still working on her manners, leash skills, and excitement around other dogs, and will need a family willing to continue her training.Missy gets along well with other dogs but can get overly excited during play and may nip. She would do best with a friendly canine sibling, as she doesn't enjoy being left alone. She does well with older children (6+) but can be nervous around younger kids. Cats are an unknown.Missy has a medium energy level and needs at least two walks daily, playtime, and opportunities to use her nose. She's not comfortable in a crate or confined spaces and may chew when left alone too long. She also takes daily Proin for bladder control, which is currently working very well.Missy's ideal home would be an active family with a fenced yard, another friendly dog, and people who enjoy adventures. She's a little quirky, loves chasing bugs, ripping apart boxes, watching out the window, and being her people's shadow. With a little patience, continued training, and lots of love, Missy will make a wonderful companion and adventure buddy!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
