A smart, cuddly, and playful four-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix currently in Nevada City, CA, whose adorable black-and-white coat and curious spirit make every day an adventure.
This sweet girl is a delightful combination of puppy enthusiasm and snuggly affection! Posey loves nothing more than chasing her flirt pole, squeaking her dinosaur toy, and solving food puzzles. And her favorite snack? Pumpkin! She's also a superstar student who eagerly participates in training sessions, especially when tasty treats are involved.
Posey already knows sit, come, and her name. She's making wonderful progress with potty training, with no indoor accidents reported, and happily settles into her crate for naps and bedtime. She's still learning about the big, exciting world, so patient encouragement and positive reinforcement will help her confidence blossom. Her trainer has even offered complimentary transition training to support her adopting family!
Although initially reserved around unfamiliar dogs, Posey showed lovely manners when meeting a four-year-old Golden Retriever, rolling over to welcome his greeting. She could be compatible with a friendly resident dog following thoughtful introductions. She's also enjoyed positive interactions with children ages 3, 7, and 9, although her puppy jumping still needs guidance. Her compatibility with cats remains unknown.
Posey would thrive with an active family who spends plenty of time at home and enjoys engaging activities. A fenced yard for exploring, digging, and playing would make this curious girl especially happy. She's expected to grow into a medium-sized companion weighing around 50 pounds.
This clever pup benefits from a consistent routine, engaging enrichment activities, and opportunities to discover new experiences at her own pace. She's spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Her DNA test result is pending.
