Maybe we should rename him Lucky! This handsome boy is one very lucky kitty, thanks to a dedicated foster who saved him from a shelter where he was scheduled for euthanasia due to overcrowding. Whew! His second chance at life has begun, and now he’s waiting for someone special to help him write the next chapter of his story.
Estimated to be just over a year old, “Z” has likely had a bumpy road in his short life. We don’t know his history or how humans have treated him, so he approaches new people with understandable caution. In a brief amount of time, his new foster mom has earned enough of his trust that he allows her to gently pet him.
“Z” will need time, patience, and a gentle hand to learn that he is finally safe. He needs someone willing to let him build trust at his own speed, and allow him to discover that human love can be a wonderful thing. No pressure - just kindness, consistency, and reassurance.
“Z” has passed his veterinary testing and has been neutered. He currently shares a foster room with Zeena, an adult tortoiseshell kitty who was also rescued from euthanasia. His calm presence around another cat is encouraging as he continues adjusting to his new life.
Are you the special person that stopped on his profile pics, drawn by his beauty - and are now touched by his story? This boy needs more than a home; he needs a patient heart and a safe place where he can finally relax, feel secure, and learn what it means to be loved. He may not be the kitty who runs to greet you on day one, but earning the trust of a cat who has had a difficult start can be one of the most rewarding experiences of all.
Give “Z” his chance. Give him time. Give him a forever home. Let’s make his next and last chapter, a lucky one! Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com
