A sweet twelve-year-old mixed breed dog currently in Redondo Beach, CA, whose beautiful tan coat, charming white accents, and affectionate personality make her an irresistible cuddle companion.
Weighing around 45 pounds, Hazel is a gentle, easygoing girl who believes life's greatest pleasures include cozy snuggles, sunny afternoons, and quality time with her favorite people. Her signature move? Nestling her head right into your neck for the sweetest cuddle session imaginable! If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys relaxing by your side, Hazel is ready to steal your heart.
While Hazel is wonderfully calm indoors, she still has a playful spirit! She enjoys twice-daily walks, games of fetch, crinkly toys, beach outings, park adventures, and sunbathing on the patio. After some outdoor fun, she's perfectly content lounging nearby while you unwind.
This clever girl has completed formal obedience training and knows sit, stay, lay down, drop, and paw. She's house-trained, crate-trained, comes when called, and settles peacefully when left alone. Hazel is also friendly toward strangers and enjoys meeting new people!
Hazel has been gentle and affectionate with toddlers and younger children during shorter visits, though a calm family with older, respectful children would suit her beautifully. She's neutral around cats but selective with dogs. Hazel can respond defensively when another dog displays aggression, and she had one biting incident involving another dog nine years ago. A loving home without other dogs would provide the most comfortable environment for her.
Hazel is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Both cruciate ligaments have been surgically repaired, and she's doing well. She has experienced occasional arthritis discomfort, although no episodes have been reported for over a year.
