If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick who enjoys life’s simple pleasures, Ducky may be the perfect match. This adorable Yorkie is happiest when he’s close to his person, whether that’s relaxing at home, heading out for a neighborhood stroll, or simply keeping you company throughout the day.
Ducky is an easygoing boy who prefers a calm, predictable environment. While his foster dog siblings are busy playing, he’s often content to sit back and observe. He loves going for walks and has the cutest habit of enthusiastically kicking up the grass after every potty break. He’s potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and does not require a fenced yard.
Ducky has done well living with other dogs, but he can become protective of his favorite person and has shown some resource-guarding behaviors. Because of this, he’ll do best with an adopter who can recognize those moments, provide clear guidance, and is willing to continue working with positive reinforcement and, if needed, a professional trainer. He would be happiest in an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy children who can respect his space.
He’s still building confidence with crate training and may need a little time to settle, but overall he’s a wonderful companion with a gentle, devoted personality. Given a patient family and a peaceful home, Ducky will reward his people with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of happy walks together.

Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
