Rescued from a difficult beginning, Steve has faced more challenges and overcome more obstacles than most cats ever will. Living on the city streets, he was found with a broken leg and open wounds on his frail body. Upon rescue he was also diagnosed with, hyperesthesia, a condition that ultimately required the amputation of his tail.
Just when it seemed the hardest days were behind him,
Steve was diagnosed with severe stomatitis, a painful condition that made even the simplest things, like eating, unbearable. To give him the chance at a pain-free life, all of his teeth were surgically removed—a big change that brought him much-needed relief. Through every procedure, recovery, and setback, he has shown an inspiring spirit that refuses to give up.
Today, Steve’s wounds have healed and he’s feeling better than ever. He is playful and affectionate and gets along with dogs and kittens. He would likely be fine with adult cats with proper introduction.
Steve may have no teeth and no tail, but what he does have is a heart full of love, and an unbreakable spirit. His only wish is a future filled with comfort, happiness, and a forever home where he’ll be cherished for the sweet boy he is.
