Rob is a handsome 4-month-old German Shepherd / Belgian Shepherd mix weighing approximately 15 pounds. He's still just a puppy with lots of growing, learning, and discovering ahead of him.
Rob is good with other dogs and children, while his compatibility with cats is currently unknown.
As a German Shepherd / Belgian Shepherd mix, Rob may grow into an intelligent, active, loyal, and highly trainable companion. Shepherd-type dogs often thrive when they're included in family activities and given both physical exercise and opportunities to use their minds.
Rob is still young, so his exact adult size and temperament cannot be guaranteed. His future family should be prepared for the possibility of a medium-to-large, active adult dog.

Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At four months old, Rob is still learning how the world works. His adopter should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, puppy nipping, occasional potty accidents, excitement, curiosity, and testing boundaries.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so Rob's family should be prepared to continue working on:
House training
Crate training as appropriate
Basic commands
Leash manners
Recall
Appropriate chewing
Bite inhibition
Calm greetings
Household boundaries
Continued socialization
Shepherd mixes are often quick learners, but intelligence also means they need appropriate outlets for their energy and curiosity. Short, positive training sessions can help Rob develop good habits while strengthening his bond with his family.

Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Rob has already received important veterinary care. He is neutered, dewormed, has received a multiple/combination vaccine, and has been treated with NexGard.
Because he is only four months old, his adopter should have his records reviewed by their veterinarian to determine which additional puppy vaccinations or boosters are still needed.
His future family should provide:
Completion of his puppy vaccination schedule as recommended
Routine veterinary wellness examinations
Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention
Quality puppy nutrition appropriate for his growth
Healthy weight management
Routine dental care
