Brandy makes a strong first impression. She is quick to melt hearts by introducing herself with ears folded back and bashfully presenting her belly for pats. As much as she loves human attention, Brandy is a bit of a dog's dog. She LOVES initiating play with the other two dogs at her foster home. She is also content to entertain herself with toy. Brandy is also intrigued by the cat in her foster home. Her intense curiosity mostly results in watching the cat for as long as the cat will allow and occasionally testing the waters with a play pose. Brandy probably would not do well with a cat who is not already used to dogs as she is likely to chase a cat that runs from her. Do not let the white fur around her mouth fool you, Brandy is only a year and a half years old! She still has a few puppy habits that she is growing out of (namely chewing on on the occasional shoe or charging cord), but she is overall very well behaved. She is fully housebroken, knows several commands (including sit, lay down and shake), and is crate trained. She is working on her manners in a few key areas, namely not jumping and pawing when she gets excited, and walking more politely on a leash.Brandy will thrive in a home where she gets lots of exercise and stimulation whether that be long walks/hikes, fetch sessions, romping around with other dogs, etc. She is quick to adapt to a new routine, sleeps well through the night (even outside of a kennel), and sweet and gentle to everyone she meets.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
