Meet Moxie, the adolescent pastel tortie. Moxie arrived to the Shelter as a stray. After some decompression at the Shelter, it was clear that Moxie was not feral and in fact just a bit fearful. Now she is easy going and sweet. Moxie may need some patience when she transitions to her home environment, but we anticipate she will settle into her home nicely. Moxie may do well in a home with other animals with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Moxie may enjoy an indoor/outdoor home after a period of acclimation to her new home (at leas 30 days). She may also be just as happy indoor only. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
