J.E. is an adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing approximately 13 pounds. He's a young boy with a classic puppy personality—playful, curious, energetic, and still discovering the world around him.
J.E. is good with other dogs and children, while his compatibility with cats is currently unknown.
At seven months old, J.E. is entering the adolescent stage of puppyhood. He's no longer a tiny baby, but he still has plenty of growing, learning, and maturing ahead of him. His future family will have an important role in helping him develop into a confident and well-mannered adult dog.
As a Terrier mix, J.E. may share characteristics commonly associated with terriers, including being bright, curious, playful, affectionate, energetic, and full of personality. Terriers often enjoy exploring, investigating interesting smells, playing games, and having opportunities to use their minds.
J.E. would benefit from:

At seven months old, J.E. is still very much a puppy. His adopter should be prepared to continue teaching him the skills he'll need throughout adulthood.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so his family should be ready to work on:

Building confidence
Learning when it's time to settle and relax
Adolescent puppies can sometimes seem like they've forgotten things they previously learned. Patience, repetition, structure, and positive reinforcement are important during this stage.

These are guidelines rather than deadlines. J.E. should be given the time he needs to become comfortable and understand that his new home is permanent.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
J.E.'s neuter, vaccination, and microchip status have not been provided.
His adopter should review his medical records with a veterinarian and ensure he receives all remaining age-appropriate puppy vaccinations and boosters, neutering if not already completed, routine wellness examinations, parasite prevention, dental care, quality puppy nutrition, healthy growth monitoring, grooming and nail care, and veterinary treatment whenever needed.
Because J.E. is still developing, his family should provide age-appropriate exercise and gradually increase activity as he matures.
