At about 20 pounds and still growing, Maggie is at such a fun stage of life. She's discovering the world around her, developing her personality, and learning what it means to be part of a family. She's affectionate and people-oriented, and she's ready for someone who will give her the love, guidance, and stability she needs as she grows.
As a Pit Bull Terrier mix, Maggie may share many of the wonderful qualities associated with these dogs. Pit Bull-type dogs are often affectionate, intelligent, playful, athletic, and deeply connected to their people. They can make wonderful companions when given consistent training, appropriate exercise, socialization, and plenty of family interaction.

Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At five months old, Maggie is still very much a puppy. Adopters should be prepared for all the normal parts of raising a young dog.
She may need continued work on house training, leash manners, basic commands, appropriate chewing, boundaries, and learning how to settle calmly. Even if she already knows some skills, those skills will need to be reinforced when she moves into a completely new environment.
Positive reinforcement, consistency, and patience are especially important during this stage. The work her family puts into training now will help shape the adult dog Maggie becomes.
